Whatever happened to a "government for the people, and by the people?"

Recently a judge in California has overturned Prop 8 which was put in place by the citizens of California by going to the ballet box and voting this proposal in.  Our nation is under attack because of the fact that we as the Church have not been involved in the electoral process as we should have been.  By not putting the right people who hold to our values in office we now have judges who are have been placed by those who are "worldly minded"  making decisions that  the Bible declares to be "sinful".

The reason the laws in this nation have been undermined is because Christians have put more stock in their pocketbook than the environment that they are attempting to raise their children in.  By either not caring to get involved or just voting for the "media's most popular candidate", we have sacrificed much to those who profess that the Bible is just "another religious book".  By not preaching the saving grace of Christ to those in need around us and taking a stand on the social issues of the day, we have allowed the world to gain the upper hand and now we are paying the piper as a result.  We must turn our eyes back upon the Lord and repent for our selfish, and careless attitude.  It is time that the Church stood up and carried the Cross of Christ into battle.  Not only our the souls of men at risk, but the "soul" of our nation is at risk as well.

The door has not completely closed but the time is drawing near.  Church may we fall to our knees and cry out to God for direction.  Once He speaks let us go and do as He commands.  For the times demand it.  Are you ready for revival?

Goodbye Oral Roberts

The passing of Oral Roberts I believe is part of a move to prepare the body of Christ for the next move of God.  I remember as a youngester that I was very skeptical of Dr. Roberts and many people I surrounded myself at that time in my life felt the same way.  I still recall the time when Oral stated that God would take him home if he didn't get the right amount of money that he needed for Oral Roberts University.  I thought that was quite strange and maybe some of Oral's methods didn't make sense, but is that not the way God does some things?  I know the kingdom of God does things in a way that is totally opposite of how the world wants things done.  An example from the Bible is where it states the following, "Give and it shall be given unto you."  The world tells us to hold unto everything that we have and not to let anything go.  Not God.  So maybe some of the things Oral did that seemed strange to some of us was just God's way of breaking through a mindset that we had not only toward Oral Roberts, but toward God.
I believe that God is wanting to bring a greater move of signs and wonders into the earth and the mantle that was upon Oral will be passed on to more people than was raised up in his own generation.  A couple of years ago I heard the prophet Kim Clement mention that Oral's passing would ignite this move and I fully expect it to be the case.  Over the years I have grown to appreicate Oral Roberts and have been challenged by the way he lived his life by faith.  Oral, you will be missed, but not forgotton.  For more on Oral here is an article that you might find interesting.
