Should we be concerned with the war on terror? Is it time to move on and extent a hand of friendship to those who only want to destroy us? Most Muslims are not out to bring harm to America, but those who are true radicals do want to destroy America and the western world.
I believe that we must continue to take the fight to the terrorists where ever they are at. The terrorists have been fighting the USA since the Iranian revolution of 1979 so we have been at war with them for the past 30 years. This battle is not over territory, but it is a battle for the soul of the world. The radical Muslims want to control the world and either convert or kill all those who oppose their way of life. The American dream is for everyone to have the choice to live life as they see fit and without hindrance. Radical Muslims want us to live as if the world was nearly 1200 years ago. There is no freedom and you must do as your told.
The radicals are looking to acquire nuclear weapons and use them to either destroy us and or hold us hostage. We must continue to use any and all methods that are available to us to stop each and every potential threat. I believe that we can and will win this battle if we don't lose heart. For the American way is a superior way of life and carries within it the desire of every heart that is a live at this time, that being the cry of freedom. Let us not forget the cost of freedom and may we continue to carry its torch which brings life to all.

Leadership
When it comes to properly leading what qualities does it take to be a leader? Most people I talk with do not feel that they are capable of leading. Most have a fear of leadership and rather be a follower. Leadership is not easy. Leaders have to be willing to take risks and that means they may not be well received on many of the decisions they are making.
If I look at how leadership is played out in the Bible versus that which the world system wants it to be done, you will discover that there are so major differences. One is that the Bible asks that a leader is not above the ones he is leading. Christ exhibited this behavior when He washed the disciples feet. True leadership from the Bible will move the leader to look for ways to build up and motivate those that he is leading so that they may become the leaders that they were meant to be.
The world system will tell the leader that he must protect his position for fear that they will lose it to someone more qualified than themselves. The Bible exhibits that for true freedom to exist one must be willing to surrender everything one has so that those one is leading will be able to eventually do the same. Leadership is something every person has the ability to do because everyone is born to lead, as the Bible teaches. The world will says that not everyone has the ability to lead, but that some people are specially gifted to do this, and thus they will become the leaders. What is stopping you from leading? Is it your attitude or a fear of the unknown? I challenge you to launch out and give it a try. You may be surprised at what may occur.

The battle between Evolution and Creationism Heats Up
During this past week the birthday of Darwin was celebrated and it drew attention to the creation evolution debate as a result. My own personal journey on this as changed over the years as I have considered what science and the Bible have to say about the topic of how did we come to be.
After making Jesus Christ my personal savior and Lord of my life I had a most difficult time understanding how science and the Bible could co-exist. I was someone who thought that evolution and creationism could be the one and the same. However that began to change when a friend of mine named Keith was able to give me some creation material from a group called ICR( International Creation Research). The material spoke from a scientific point of view, but was using the Bible as it basis. It was through this time that I began to change my thinking to the place where I believed that creationism and a young earth theory is the correct one.
I know that many Christians out there are confused by this topic and have many questions that plague their thoughts as this topic once again comes to the forefront. I believe that it is the time for Christians to stand up and not back down off of what we believe. The article that I have linked to at the bottom of this post shows how Christians are fighting back. If we are wanting to change our society and the culture we live in, we must engage it at the foundation. The foundation of our culture belief in truth has been wrecked by this attack by the religion of Evolution. People are confused about topics like marriage, life issues like abortion and euthanasia. This is because our belief in absolute truth has been damaged. The christian has the truth, because Jesus Himself declared himself to be it (John 14:6). It is time for us to speak out and demonstrate to the world why He, Christ, is the only way. Church don't sit on the sidelines any longer. Let us be salt and light in a world that needs it more than ever.

Will you be put on trial for Faith?
Will you be put on trial for faith in God? Recently I read a story on WorldNet Daily that showed how a family from the state of New York had been placed under a huge amount of stress by the public school system that there children were a part of.
The issue being raised was the fact that the couples children had not been immunized as the state requires. The parents, who have a devote faith in God, discovered that as soon as this was uncovered by the school found out that everything that they were trying to do in raising their children up in the faith they professed was soon under attack. The question I would like to raise is where does a school system have the right to attack the way a family chooses to raise their children? I can understand the concern for the health of the other children that attend there, but beyond that, I believe the school overstepped its bounds and had no right to pry into this family's way of raising their children.
As we continue to move closer to the end of the age, before the return of Christ, I tend to believe we will see more of this because the enemy of our soul knows is time is short and will continue to put the pressure on those of us who believe. Body of Christ, prepare yourselves now. We are headed for greater glory, but the road there may get a little bumpy. Rest in the Savior. For He is our refuge and our strength, our hope in a time of trouble. God will see us through.

What is so "Fair" about the Fairness Doctrine
Recently there has been renewed talks about bringing the fairness doctrine back into play amongst those in the Democratic controlled Congress. Debra Stabenow a Democratic Senator from the state of Michigan has mentioned that a return to the fairness doctrine is needed so that all viewpoints can get a fair shake on the airwaves.
When the fairness doctrine was in place the conservative viewpoint was nearly extinct. Rush Limbaugh had just come unto the scene, but beyond him, there was no major emphasis on the conservative, family and faith based view. The major newspapers and major Television networks were able to carry whatever they chose to run and the American people were not given any choice but to hear their viewpoint only.
But when Reagan was able to get the fairness doctrine eliminated from the equation the conservative, family and faith based viewpoint took wing and now dominates the radio airwaves. The liberals have tried to counter it with their own radio network, Air America, and it failed miserably. In the marketplace of ideas, the conservative viewpoint will win out in most cases since its view is based in a biblical viewpoint. Truth always prevails amongst those that seek it out.
I believe that the fairness doctrine is anything but fair and will lead to a silencing of the conservative, pro-family, faith based viewpoint that America still needs. After all the NY Times and CBS news are not going to go out there and allow the conservative viewpoint to be there view. They have their own agenda which is not to allow for diverse viewpoints to coexist.
The fight that may soon develop reminds me of how Evolution became the dominant viewpoint of the public school systems and the media over the years. Creationists are told that their viewpoint is out of touch and out dated. Are we about to see the same thing occur with the conservative, pro-family and faith based viewpoint, if the fairness doctrine is allowed to be the law of the land?
I encourage all of my fellow conservatives, who like myself are pro-family and have faith in the God of the Bible to engage Congress on this issue. Our voice must be heard to stand for what is right, true and fair in a society that tries to vilify such behavior.

Is the US Government God for most Americans?
The longer I live in this nation the more convinced I have become of the fact that more Americans are trading in faith in God and in the American dream that is based on biblical principles for government handouts and promises.
The welfare generation that was started by President Franklin Roosevelt in the 1930's continues to grow and prosper and during the current economic downturn more and more Americans are looking to the government as their provider. Where is the God of the Bible in this equation. After all the Bible declares that God is the one who, "supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory". It does take faith to see God provide, but the government has taken that faith that was intended for God and people have placed in government instead.
People have called our current president Barrack Obama, "the Messiah". Now do I believe that he is truly that in this desperate time? No, for what I am seeing here is a similar situation that occurred in Israel's past. During the time of Samuel the children of Israel wanted to have an earthly king over them as was the case for the nations that surrounded Israel at that time. God didn't want to give in to this, but because of their persistence, the Lord gave in to them. When Samuel spoke to God about this the Lord said the following, "they have not rejected you, they have rejected me."
I am seeing this very thing carried out in our nation today. Our country is becoming more socialistic all the time. The move away from God is becoming more obvious and blatant day by day. When this nation was founded, it was founded on the Bible and prayer. Now it is nearly illegal to do any of this activity in a public setting. The church of Jesus Christ must get back to preaching the cross and Kingdom of God. We can't be of the world and expect it to change. For truly all our freedoms come the Lord of Heaven and Earth. Government must be put back into its proper place. The vaccum that the church was filled by the government. Now it is time for us to take it back.
People of God don't be mislead anymore. Let us no longer be like the children of Israel who are crying to go back under Pharoah's rule. Let us truly be free. Let us turn to God and place our faith in Him. For as God led the children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage, so shall He lead out from under this socialistic bondage if we will only follow after HIM and HIS ways. Go for it church!

Does anyone believe they are responsible?
It is interesting to notice that we as humans do not like to take the blame for anything that we do. It started in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve and the serpent. When God the Father asked Adam who was at fault he turned and said it was Eve's and when God asked Eve she said it was the serpent's.
As I look at our current economic status in this nation and with the talk of bailout and stimulus packages, I don't see anyone owning up to the current crash that has occurred. The Democrats are blaming the Republicans and the Republicans are blaming the Democrats. Big business and the banks are not taking ownership for making improper business decisions, but instead are looking to the Congress and the President for more money to continue, " business as usual."
I believe that those who are responsible for making wrong choices should be held accountable for them and have to pay a price as a result. It is like telling one's child that is OK to go out and eat an entire chocolate cake, which was meant for everyone to enjoy, and then pat them on the back for this behavior, encouraging them to do it again.
Do I want to see businesses fail? No, but I believe in capitalism. And in true capitalism those who are weak will be taken over by those who have positioned themselves well. After all being in business does present risk, and a part of that risk means that you may lose everything you have worked for.
It would truly please me to see business and banking leaders owning up to their mistakes at this time. I would be much more understanding of those who have failed, because of their willingness to be open, real and vulnerable. Will we ever see this? I doubt it, because most people perceive that be "real" portrays weakness. And in are macho based society that would make most feel as though they are nothing but failures. So don't hold your breath on this one America. But continue to check your pocketbook, I feel like someone may be looking to take more than there fair share from you there.
